A deep ruby red,
almost crimson. The nose is blackcurrant, prune and cocoa.
mouth it is structured with firm tannins and a fruity acidity, the
aromas on the nose being confirmed in the mouth, with hints of the
garrigue persisting in the length.
This wine is powerful and tense.
Best served decanted at about 18°C.
It can be cellared for 15 years
and should be at its best in 2018.
Food & wine pairing: recommended with grilled lamb with
thym or with the Corsican cheese “fleur de maquis”. It is also
very good with red meats in sauce.
